Collection Notes: Collect whole blood in a Lithium-Heparin collection tube. Do not use any other anticoagulant because other anticoagulants interfere with the assay. Minimum volume should be 5mL. Collection tubes must be at room temperature (17 to 25°C) at the time of collection. Following collection, invert gently eight to ten times to mix additive with blood. Ship in an insulated box with ice to maintain at a refrigerated temperature. Do NOT Freeze sample.
Clinical Utility: QFT-Plus is an indirect test for M. tuberculosis infection (including disease) and is intended for use in conjunction with risk assessment, radiography, and other medical and diagnostic evaluations.
