Collection Notes: Indicate whether the specimen is a voided or catheterized specimen. Collect specimen in a sterile container. Voided urine should be a clean-catch, midstream specimen. Indicate source of specimen on requisition. If the culture is positive, identification will be performed at an additional charge. Antibiotic susceptibility tests are performed only when appropriate.
