Collection Notes: The specimen source is required. Indicate the exact site where the specimen was obtained. Collect specimen using the swab from a culturette transport tube or by aspiration (depending upon the source). Specimen sources include deep wounds, abscesses, aspirates, or other body fluids. Place the specimen in a sterile, leak proof container. Submit the labeled swab/sterile container to the laboratory. Susceptibility testing will be performed at an additional charge.
